B's 1st birthday!
Matt... I'm so glad you are my amazing husband. You're the low-key to my high maintenance, the slow-down to my hurry, the let-it-be to my worry, the unwind to my all wound up, the soft kiss to my talk talk talk. You're the yes to whatever I need, the answer to all I could ever ask for in someone to love. I love you so much! Happy 6th year anniversary!

Tonight we are going to to Maggiano's Italian Restaurant in Costa Mesa. I had the cheesecake there in Vegas and I can't stop thinking about it! Yummmm!

Eggcellent

People need to seriously stop being so creative on Pinterest. It makes me sick! But, where would I be without it? Dying my Easter eggs the old school way is where I would be. Paas Dye used to be as good as it gets but check out these awesome eggs below...

I began decorating a few eggs yesterday but only had three to work with (that's all that we had left and apparently you should wait 3-5 days before hard boiling fresh eggs or else they won't peel.). I have a feeling next year B and Mama will be decorating eggs together. But until then I will do frou frou eggs till my heart's content!

Can't wait to show you our finished eggs! Fingers crossed they turn out...

Extra Baggage

Wednesday, March 27, 2013

Last week while browsing the internet I stumbled across Porttery Barn's website and found their kid's luggage on sale! It was meant to be! Actually I have been on the prowl for some luggage for B since she has SO much crap gear and anytime we go somewhere I'm scrounging for bags to pack it all in. It was on sale AND I had a $50 gift card so I went for it. Turns out it's super cute and I think that she will use it for a long, long time. (She better anyway).

Today we are dying painting Easter eggs. And by "we" I most likely mean "me" during nap time. Sigh. She's still just not quite old enough. Next year! Pinterest has some adorable ideas (as usual) that I plan on copying. I also found some cute ideas at Grey Likes Baby. My favorite are the painted ones.

I seriously can't get over how much I missed Little B while I was away last weekend! When I got back and saw her for the first time I could have sworn that she grew a ton! To me she already looked older and seemed so much bigger.

While she still refuses to say "Mama" she babbles all day long and it's so stinkin cute. M kept me updated on their schenanigans and sent me some videos that I cried swooned over while away. See for yourself... I Can't. Get. Enough.

Milestones
Starting to test her luck with standing unassisted. She's so brave. :) Maybe by her second birthday she will be walking. Sigh. This kid. Taking her sweet time.

She has also mastered crawling up and down steps. While down at the beach this weekend she practiced at her Gram's and Gramp's house and thought she was pretty rad. Lucky for me I got to see it while away. See below...

She has started signing for milk which is perfect timing since we're almost done nursing (insert sarcasm here). I guess it will come in handy for when she wants milk in her sippy cup. M was able to capture it on video below...

Seriously so blessed by everyone who helped with B while I was away. From my brother's girlfriend, to my mom, to M's parents, and especially M!!! I knew she was in good hands and that in itself is like a vacation. :) I do have to say that M thought it was totally ok to let her wear the same outfit all weekend...but if that's the worst thing to happen I'll take it. ;)

What happens in Vegas...

Monday, March 25, 2013

Vegas never ceases to amaze me. I'm always excited to go and always excited to get back home. We had a really great time but I missed my baby girl! We ate some delicious meals, shopped, laid out by the pool, and danced our pants off! I'm definitely not as gangster as I used to be... This mama was ready for bed by 1:30 most nights. I did manage to make it till 3 one night but was very sad when 8am came the next day... Five hours of sleep is not enough! When in Rome Vegas...

We stayed at the palms hotel and actually got upgraded to the penthouse because they overbooked our suites! It was ah-maz-ing. We had a Jacuzzi on our balcony overlooking the strip with 2800 sq feet of space to throw all of our sequined attire around in. At $5000 a night we will never experience that again. Only in Vegas!

I also picked up a few cute things for me and B (sorry M) which I will have to show you later this week!

We went with a super fun group of girls and here is what we learned...

Clubs are not worth it unless you have a table

Heels are the devil

Flip flops should be in your purse at all times

Pumping milk in Vegas is annoying but necessary

Nobody hates on fourth meal

It's totally acceptable to wear anything from sweats to sequined pants

Allow Dads to ride in your cab with you. They always pay the tab :)

And what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas ;)

I Want

Friday, March 22, 2013

Lately we have been wanting EVERYTHING when we go to Target. She does this pathetic cute little grunt that makes it pretty hard to resist buying whatever she pleases. Turn up your volume to experience her pleas. :) See the evidence below....

Yesterday B and her gramm wore matching Montana Western gear while on our walk. We had to take a picture to show her Aunt Lisa who works there!

B sure loves her gramma! Have a great weekend...see you Monday!

Easter Goodies

Thursday, March 21, 2013

Today I am leaving to go to Vegas for the weekend with a few of my girlfriends. I'm very excited but also sad to leave my sweet girl (and M too!). M and B are going down to the beach with his parents for the weekend so luckily he will have some extra hands. I'm jealous I am going to miss out on family time but excited to have some fun with friends.

In the meantime I have been collecting items to put in B's Easter basket. Technically this is her second Easter but the first time around she was only one month! Here are the things I have decided she will enjoy...

All items from Target (where else?) basket from PB
B has been diggin her big girl straw cups lately. They have hello kitty ones that I'm secretly swooning over. But I have this thing against all cartoon characters so I haven't bought it (yet).

Oh, and what child doesn't own the classic "Pat the bunny?" Mine. So, I did what any good mother would do and bought it. :)

The dress and cardi were just too cute not to pass up. I found another cute dress as well but couldn't find it online to show you :(

PS my friend Erinn said recently that triangles are the new chevron. And I couldn't agree more! Since these leggings were only $5 a pair I totally picked up a couple of sizes in the same print. They scream 80s print...SO adorable. :)

Work it Wednesday

Wednesday, March 20, 2013

I haven't been working it for a while, or rather I haven't been documenting it. ;) Recently a friend let me borrow this maxi skirt from F21 so I thought I would document it for you. Maybe it will Inspire an outfit of your own!?
