Happy Campers Birthday Party

Thursday, August 20, 2020

We had a party so it's time to hop back on the blog! We celebrated our (mostly) happy campers on the 15th and I'm SO pleased with their party outcome... but not for reasons you'd think! I hardly bought anything for their camping themed birthday bash... I used Christmas decorations for the most part! Aside from getting in our garage attic mid-August it was a huge win! I even convinced Matt to set up our Christmas tree. Such a good sport. :)

We had a great time swimming and eating Mexian food... when you have a birthday in August in Southern California that's pretty much all you can do haha.

I was so pleased with how the cake turned out... it was actually a Pinterest win! WAY easier than it looks... my kind of project! I'm not giving a tutorial because there are some amazing ones already on there. I'll list sources for items below but honestly it's mostly my home/Christmas decor.

Logann's first birthday party: ONE of a kind

Sunday, May 17, 2020

It's been a minute since I've blogged... nine months to be exact haha. However the blog is not dead and I wanted to post about Logann's first birthday party! She had the time of her life and ate her weight in cake.

I went with a "muted rainbow" theme and the phrase "ONE of a kind." Quarantine wasn't about to rain on my party!

Lolo, you are a dream baby. We've had the absolute best year with you and are looking forward to so many more fun memories. We love you, sweet girl!

Cal and Evie's Mickey and Minnie Party

Sunday, September 1, 2019

Hot diggity dog! Cal and Evie turned THREE and we celebrated them Mickey and Minnie style! Although after Everly saw the decor she declared that she preferred an Elsa party (insert eye roll). I'm not sure how long I can keep up the boy/girl joint theme going on. And I refuse to do a joint party with two separate themes. Suggestions?!

I actually purchased just about everything at party city. Or I used items I already own. The sugar cookies are by @morgieporgiepuddinpie but everything else I made myself with my cricut (cutting machine).

The balloon garland I made myself and I have to say THIS electric air pump has been a life-saver.

Rainbow Birthday Party

Monday, March 11, 2019

We celebrated our big SEVEN year old this last week and wow what a celebration! We went to Disneyland on Friday and had a party on Saturday. This year Blair was deciding between Fancy Nancy and rainbow theme. I talked her into rainbow theme (way easier!) since there is so much rainbow stuff out there currently with St. Patrick's Day and spring right around the corner.

I grabbed the rainbow garland off of Amazon for $34...such a steal! Seriously balloon garlands are so much bang for your buck. They do take a bit of time but since you can blow them up with air like five days (at least!) before your event it makes it way more manageable. This is the second one I've installed and it gets easier every time. I'm definitely planning on doing one for the twins' birthday in August!

Rose Gold, Blush, Nude, and Dark Green Baby Shower

Sunday, March 3, 2019

I had the joy of showering my best friend this weekend. This shower was particularly special because the baby is a rainbow baby. The mama previously had a sweet baby girl at 24 weeks and she went to be with Jesus three short weeks later. Everyone has been holding their breath during this pregnancy but she's currently 33 weeks pregnant and doing so well!

We decided to go with tones of blush, gold, rose gold, nudes, and dark green. We incorporated a bit of marble and eucalyptus for extra texture. Here's the end result!
