TWOtti Fruity Party

Thursday, August 16, 2018

TWO-tti Fruity twins! It's not the easiest thing to come up with gender neutral party themes but while the twins don't have a say I get to do what I want! Tutti Fruity works well with their August birthday since fruit themed decor is so prevalent in the summer. I had so much fun putting the details of their party together. The main focus was the balloon garland by Pop and Company and it's truly swoon worthy! Take a look below!

We had the best time partying with our family and the twins loved every minute. It was so fun to see how much they understood and how when we asked them how old they were they would tease us and say,  "Eight! Nine! Six!" Then finally they would hold up their index fingers and say, "TWO!" Babies, (you will always be my babies!) you are my JOY! I love you!

TWO

Wednesday, August 15, 2018

HOW am I even writing this post right now?! The twins are T W O and I just can't believe it! They are getting more fun each day and their personalities are the best.

Cal, you are a true Mama's boy in the best way. Our snuggle sessions are REAL and the way you hold my face with both of your hands turns me into a puddle. I did not know what a relationship with a boy would be like but I now know full well. It is the best! Your boyish grin melts me and the way you get "happy feet" when you are excited is so darn cute. You love to play with me and make me laugh and your favorite spot is in my arms. You still like to be sung to and rocked every night before bed and it's the most special time with me. Our bond is unbreakable.

Evie, you are a spicey peanut! Your personality is LOUD and so fun and we are constantly laughing at you. Your facial expressions are hilarious and the way you say "Ummmmmm?" when you are making a decision or answering a questions is hilarious. When I picture you I see you with your head thrown back and your eyes closed and the wildest laugh coming out of your mouth. You never run in a straight line and your arms always trail behind you. And while I wouldn't pin you as 100% a Daddy's girl, you sure do love spending time with him and ask for him even when I'm around. You live life to the fullest and I can't wait to see what the future holds for you!

Fair Game: OC Fair

Monday, August 6, 2018

Every year I drag bring Matt to the fair. For a while it was just us and Blair but this year we finally brought the twinkies along for their first visit! I fed Matt a burger and a beer and he ended up being okay with it. ;) The kids loved the hustle and bustle of the crowd, the corn dogs, and the bright lights. Cal chose to ride a ride with Blair and Evie opted for our friend Jojo to win her a stuffed unicorn at the balloon popping game. Everyone was a winner! You know all it took for me to be happy was a corn dog (of course).

For me the fair is a bloggers dream...the photo ops are endless! I'd be down to bring outfit changes but I'm pretty sure M would leave me stranded with all three kids if I suggested it. ;) Are you guys into the fair? It's the perfect thing to do while our Disneyland passes are blocked!

Family Bike Rides with iBert

Wednesday, May 9, 2018

Spring (or is it summer?!) has sprung here in Southern California and we definitely took advantage of it last weekend by taking the kids on a bike ride. We used our iBert bike seats and the twins loved it! Blair graciously allowed Everly to use her old seat ;) and iBert sent Cal a snazzy new red one!

I love that the twins are on the front of our bikes so they have a great view; instead of looking at our backs the whole time. They loved the pretend steering wheel too!

If you are looking for a great bike seat be sure to check out iBert!

ErgoPouch Sleep Sack Review

Monday, January 15, 2018

I've been a fan of sleep sacks since Blair was a baby. Her blankie, that she still loves, is actually her old sleep sack from when she was a baby. We use sleep sacks for the twins every night as well because I like knowing they can't kick it off and then end up cold...especially in these winter months!

ErgoPouch sent us some sleep sacks and I love them! They are super thick, like a down blanket, which is great because then I don't need to run the heat at night. The ErgoPouch is made of natural materials including organic cotton, bamboo, and merino. They even have footed sleep sacks so baby can be bundled up in the stroller...a great idea for our Disneyland trips!

Every night before bed we zip the kiddos up in their sleep sacks and read them their bed time story. I love cuddling them while they are so mellow. It's such a special time that I'll treasure forever!

Hallmark Baby

Tuesday, September 5, 2017

The heat wave has FINALLY gone away here and I'm happy to report we are wearing things like sleeves and pants! Fall is my favorite season and I can't wait for cooler temperatures...and let's be real...pumpkin spice flavored everything! I'm less excited about fantasy football starting again but every rose has a thorn. ;)

I love coordinating the kids and these outfits by Hallmark Baby are just the cutest! The clothes are definitely high quality and there is a lot of attention to detail such as pockets, colored snaps, and extra bows. The material is soft and the prints are darling. These pieces transition perfectly into fall and I know we will get a lot of good use out of them.

Saranoni Blanket Giveaway

Tuesday, August 22, 2017

We're a blankie loving family over here. I still have mine (what's left of it) in the garage. It pretty much looks like a rope that you would climb out of a burning building on but I still love it all the same. Blair attached to a sleep sack  that she used to sleep in as a baby. It is the most disgusting thing you have ever seen...a lovely shade of grey even though it was pink when we first purchased it.

I've been pushing a blankie on Evie and Cal because it's nice to be able to take it to a new place and have them feel comforted regardless of where they are. They currently have muslin blankets that they like but with the colder months approaching I thought they would enjoy the Saranoni blankets to cuddle with.

These blankets are the ultimate soft luxury blankets and are beautiful! They are a great size and the babies love them. Saranoni is giving away TWO free blankets to two lucky winners! To enter head over to my Instagram account (@natyouraveragegirl) to enter for a chance to win your own! Winners will be chosen in 48 hours. Good luck!

One Prickly Pair: Twins First Birthday

Tuesday, August 15, 2017

Happy birthday to my little miracle babies! Half of me can believe they are one because OY those first six months crawled by but the other half is like what?! because the second six months flew by!

We had the best time partying with our Prickly "Pair." We're so thankful for the friends and family who celebrated our IVF miracles with us. I said it at their party (through ugly tears) but I never thought we would be here. We are overwhelmed and humbled by the Lord's grace and I don't think I'll ever remember His goodness without getting emotional. He has been so incredibly faithful to me even when I struggled with trusting Him.

Also a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported us during their first year of life. So many of you have been praying for them since they were embryos and it blows my mind. We are humbled by all the love. You have texted, dropped by to check in, brought meals/coffee/groceries, held babies, changed diapers, washed dishes, done laundry, and kept me emotionally stable. We could NOT have done this without all our wonderful family, friends, and IG community. It takes a village!
