Lifestyle Maternity Photo Shoot Part 3

Thursday, June 30, 2016

Today wraps up the last bit of my lifestyle maternity photo shoot with Carrie Johnson. It's so hard to choose favorites because there were so many good pictures but these are definitely at the top of my list. If bare pregnant bellies gross you out then this post isn't for you ;) but I happen to find them beautiful! Especially this time around since we went through so much to be here. This belly of mine is SUCH a miracle and I'm proud of it and want to remember it forever!
This is me at 27 weeks. I'm currently 30 weeks and measuring 38 weeks! How I haven't gotten stretch marks yet is beyond me. Oh, and don't mind the 40 pounds I've managed to pack on (insert a face of concern here). My doctor just laughs at me when I freak out about my weight in his office every two weeks. But according to Matt I have the rest of my life to get back into shape. I'll just keep telling myself that!

I just love that last shot of sweet Blair. She made me a mama and I can't believe that she's about to be a big sister. She's so ready! Seeing these pictures is so surreal. I keep saying this but I honestly didn't know if I would ever be here again taking maternity pictures. I'm so grateful for these babies...all 40 pounds of them! ;)

Gender Neutral Modern Bohemian Geometric Nursery

Tuesday, June 28, 2016

When my friend Carrie took my lifestyle maternity photos I had her snap some of the nursery. I feel like I am usually saying, " But it looks better in real life." Not the case with these! I truly feel like these photos make the nursery look so beautiful. She did an incredible job focusing on the details and making the modern boho geometric theme come to life. I can't wait to add two more small details into the room soon! ;)

Lifestyle Maternity Photo Shoot

Monday, June 27, 2016

A couple weeks ago my friend Carrie took some lifestyle maternity photos at our home. I love the casual atmosphere of these types of photo shoots and documenting the place where we spend the most amount of time...home! I asked her to capture us doing the normal things that fill our days: reading, putting on make up, making banana muffins, etc. I'm absolutely smitten over them and will be posting about them this week.

Of course this photo shoot was particularly special because of how hard it was for us to get pregnant. I'm cherishing all of these types of activities so much. They bring me so much joy and gratitude. I'm already looking forward to taking their newborn photos, sending out announcements, filling out their baby books etc. Remind me of this euphoric feeling when I'm a zombie and trying to breast feed TWO babies!

I can't wait to show you the rest of the photos this week! Another big thank you to Carrie for continuing to capture our growing family so well. I will cherish these pictures forever!

Classic Dianne

Thursday, June 23, 2016

Yesterday while scrolling through instagram I discovered a company called Classic Dianne. They sell shirt extenders to make your blouses longer. They are crazy cute and I want them all! I push so many of my shirts to the back of my closet because they don't hit me at the right spot. I always think, "Ugh. If this was a little longer it would be so much more flattering."

Enter giant huge prego belly. Nothing is long enough! And while I don't have a shirt extender (yet) they gave me the genius idea to use a slip dress I have to extend my currently blouses. See?

This was me before I ran out the door to take Blair to Vacation Bible School. While I was there a friend asked me how I'm surviving the heat in my jeans. I was like, "Well, my maternity shorts are in the wash and apparently it's not appropriate to wear Matt's boxers to church." Ha ha. If you happen to stop by my house unannounced you're in for a treat. Or a really long wait outside while I frantically get dressed. ;)

These are my favorite blouse extenders from Classic Dianne...

Marina Del Rey Babymoon

Monday, June 20, 2016

Remember when we volunteered to be in a faux wedding shoot for the Marina Del Rey hotel? Aside from getting some great pictures we were gifted a free two night stay there among other perks. We decided to hit up the hotel for our baby moon last weekend and we had a great time! The weather was amazing and our friends who also participated in the shoot came along too. We left the kiddos at home and got some serious sleep and relaxing done.

The view from our room...gorgeous!

Mocktail for this Mama!

I hope I look as good as she does after 3 kids!

On Sunday we checked out the Santa Monica Pier. It was insanely busy but we had a great time people watching. I had never been to the actual pier (embarrassing since it's in my backyard) so I can finally check that off my bucket list!

Looking like I've eaten all the funnel cakes...

29 weeks today! Ideally I need to make it to 36 but I seriously don't know how that will be possible. I'm HUGE and even my maternity tops are getting too short. :( All I want to wear are Matt's tee shirts and grandma undies. Apparently that's not appropriate. Sigh. Dresses are my next best bet. Enjoy the five dresses I'll be rocking all summer long. ;) Oh and I'm 8 pounds shy of weighing more than my brother. OMG I'm freaking out! Hey babies, just so you know I'm totally ok with you coming anytime after 32 weeks...
