Happiest Place on Earth

Friday, June 14, 2013

Disneyland managed to live up to its claim as the "happiest place on earth!" I had some anxieties about taking Blair there while she is still so young but they were all put to rest once we saw that the BOB reclined for nap time Mickey's bright smile.

the carousel... her very first ride at Disneyland!
I saw Disneyland from a whole new perspective though...through the eyes of a parent. It was so much more fun to see B enjoy the rides and wear her Minnie ears than it used to be for me to ride all the crazy coasters. I happily munched on my corn dog while she napped in her stroller and didn't find myself missing Indiana Jones all that much.
i could eat a corn dog from Dland every day for the rest of my life. they're THAT good.
small world
Blair's friend Ande (can you spot the dreaded "blankie" that tagged along?)
Cars Land (clearly B didn't meet the height requirement, but if there were a weight requirement she woulda owned it)
tea cups! (blair's dress: baby gap)
There were so many more cute pictures that I will have up for you next week because for some reason they didn't upload. And my feet hurt. And I just spent all day at Disneyland with a one year old so you're gonna cut me some slack. ;)

PS next week we will highlight the do's and dont's of Disneyland with baby now that we're pros. ;)

Thanks again to Monica, Neil, and Ande for sharing the fun with us! We were blessed by you!

  2. Aww so cute, glad you guys had a blast. We probably won't be doing Disney for a few more years, but I already think about how great it will be to see through our children's eyes!

  3. So glad to hear it was a successful day!

We booked our trip earlier in the week and to say I'm excited is an understatement!!

We want to bring our BOB, but I'm worried about it being stolen. Did you worry about that?

    1. the thought for sure crossed my mind but there were SO many BOBs with Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper bags hanging from them I just hoped mine was looking shabby from all the running I do on dirt paths. ;) Also, the cast members there move strollers at their will when they are "in the way." so if yours appears "stolen" at first just look around some more...it's bound to be near by!

  9. Hi there! Quick question that's totally off topic. Do you know how to make your site mobile friendly? My blog looks weird when browsing from my iphone4. I'm
trying to find a theme or plugin that might be able to correct this
problem. If you have any recommendations, please share.
    With thanks!
