Chow Time Essentials: 12 months

It's funny sometimes I am so totally uninspired with what to write on my blog. I get jealous of other bloggers (blog envy) and start to tell myself "Ugh. Why can't I be as funny/stylish/innovative/crafty as ______. My latest dose of blog envy was inspired by LittleBabyGarvin. She is seriously hilarious. I often make M stop what he's doing just so I can read him a paragraph. But you be the judge here.

In the last few days Amazon boxes have been making their appearance on our door step left and right. M comes home and is like, "What did you buy now?" I tell him, "Only the necessities, honey!" But that is truly what I believe! Lately B has been thoroughly enjoying her baby plates, bowls, cups etc and I was pretty tired of washing her one plate 50 5 times a day. Amazon really delivered (pun intended) with their products. Here is what we are loving...

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8.

1. Love that this dish is skid proof (ie harder for B to fling off the counter). I also like that it has two compartments AND a lid so I can easily put her leftovers in the fridge. That is if I don't eat them...

2. A placemat to go. No more wiping the table clean and being paranoid about germs. Well maybe I'm still paranoid...

3. A bib without velcro! yay! Finally I won't be pulling out my bras and undies attached to her bibs in the wash...

4. Genuis. Suction bowls WITH lids. Doesn't get any better.

5. Squeezie pouches that I can fill with my own homemade baby food! B isn't quite convinced it's as gourmet as Ella's Kitchen but hey it's way cheaper.

6. Leashes are not just for your kids anymore...they are for their toys too! Don't you hate picking their crap toys off of the floor (especially at restaurants?) Now you don't have to...

7. I did it. My love for Hello Kitty was fulfilled by these insulated sippy cups. Don't worry, I don't own anything Hello Kitty but I'll be darned if my child doesn't!

8. And finally a bottle leash. When I'm out running jogging with B I hate stopping to pick up her cup that she has kindly chucked out of her stroller. Jokes on you now, baby B!

And last but not least... HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my mother-in-law! B is sure blessed to have you. :)

Also, don't forget to purchase your party details here! More photos from the main event coming tomorrow!

  3. Love this list! How did you like the Squeezie brand of pouches? I was JUST looking at those on Amazon and couldn't decide between that brand and a couple others. Are they easy to clean?

    1. so far so good! the openings aren't huge to put the food into but they haven't leaked yet! i like the cute designs. they are hand wash only which is kind of a pain but it beats buying the ones in the store!

  4. I had the Tiny Diner place mat, but it got ruined when I washed it in the dishwasher-- on the top rack, just like the directions said to do. I've been buying the plastic disposable ones made by Disney that they sell at Target.
