I was going to be lazy and not blog (today is totally a holiday!) but I had a little extra time and figured I should get serious. :) We had such a fun, long weekend at the beach in San Diego. My whole family was there and we all stayed in a house that my parents rented. It was right on the beach and I loved watching all the people go by on the boardwalk.
Health
I am thrilled to report that Blair is totally clear of her pneumonia. She is back to gettin down with her bad self and playin with all her toys.
Sleep
Since being sick she's been throwing me a slight curveball. Every once in a while she will wake up around 10 or 11 pm and matt will go in to soothe her. Sometimes she goes back down but other times she won't until she nurses. She's also trying to drop her last afternoon nap which is fine but means she cannot stay up till seven. So on days when she refuses to take her afternoon nap she goes to bed around six, and when she does nap she goes to bed at seven. So many options. :) I'm thinking she will eventually be going to bed more often at six which initially made me worry that she would be up earlier but this doesn't seem to be the case. Sigh. Babies sleep patterns are always changing and this drives me batty!
Diet
Back to her old habits of eating everything in sight. Just like her mama :). This weekend she may have tried a French fry and a bite of ice cream. Both went down like water. This will not be a recurring thing... Also still nursing like a champ every three to four hours. She is showing no signs of weaning. PS how do I do that?!
Crying
Sometimes around 10-11 pm for no reason. Sigh. Now that we're home from vacation we can let her cry it out more.
Social
We're getting back on the social wagon now that she is feeling better and I'm less worried that her immune system is down. We went to music class last Monday and that made her pretty happy. Still waiting to send her to the nursery at bible study just to be safe. She was very social with her auntie and uncles this weekend. Lots of playing and a few melt downs ;).
Milestones
I feel like she is really growing up so quickly this last month. B is really getting the hang of crawling although still not giving me a huge run for my money with this (yet). She is developing a sense of humor and thinks we are pretty funny people! It's so sweet to hear her laugh all the time. She's starting to understand how some of her toys work better. It's cute to watch her brain figure things out. Oh and she loves her big girl bath!
Post partum
Gotta figure out the whole weaning process. To be honest I'm not in that much of a hurry because I like the bonding and I also the calorie burning. It will be a sad sad day when I can't eat whatever I want. :(
I actually got to see three different friends of mine who all live in the San Diego area this weekend. Good times. :)
I LOVE San Diego! Looks like such a fun weekend and so glad to hear B is feeling better. E has been battling a nasty cold...it's not fun! Hoping he feels better soon too!
