Nursery Mood Board {lilac, blush, aqua}

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Thank you for all the sweet comments yesterday about our photo shoot! You are all too kind!

It's no secret that I have baby on the brain...bad. To kill time between pregnancy tests I thought it would be fun to come up with some "mood boards" for a future nursery. I know I'm WAY ahead of the game but I enjoy it and hope to inspire some of you with my ideas. While these boards are time consuming to create, I absolutely LOVE doing it! I think my next calling is a "professional nursery designer." Ha. Just kidding but a girl can dream!

My whole inspiration behind this look was the confetti-like crib sheet. I went with a neutral gray for the wall color so the room's look can be changed easily without having to repaint. I love the girliness of the lilac, blush, and aqua pops of color. Sign me up for a baby girl STAT! ;)

     I like pulling in some elements of nature such as the agate dresser knobs, the woven grass storage basket, the stick in the mobile, and the tree stump accent table. Since we already have a white glider in Blair's room I would just switch it over to the new nursery regardless of the sex. Maybe we should have like 20 kids so I can just design lots of nurseries...what do you think M? No? Good. Me either. I'll stick to just having fun and creating mood boards for the time being. :)

  1. Love the sheets and the knobs, we almost got that stump for Ks room. Or I almost got it, but couldn't justify the price to the moneymaker ;) I also would line to be a nursery designer in my next life... Let's make it an east est thing!

  2. Love love the inspiration photos!! The aqua, blush and lilac will be beautiful together! Those dresser knobs are so cool!

  3. Man I kinda wish I had seen this before finishing ours up! LOVE the knobs and that lamp!

  4. Absolutely love it! Hope you get to put it to use soon!! xo

  5. I love this!! I had so much fun with Ellie's room I can't wait to re-do it for her toddler room!!! Also let's get another baby stat - we are starting the adoption process again in about a month so a new baby is on the horizon for us!!

  6. I love that star mobile! My plan for nursery theme #2 is 'vintage twinke twinkle little star'. I love waiting to find out the sex of babies so it has to be gender neutral. That mobile would be perfect in there! And those dresser knobs... adore!

  7. We are in the midst of nursery planning for our little girl and it can get out of hand quick! Everything is adorable!!

  8. Love this! I was just in Pottery Barn Kids and told my boyfriend that I want to have kids...for the sole reason of decorating their nurseries haha ;P

I love reading what you have to say! Leave a makes my day!
