Grinning Away

Thursday, May 17, 2012

While I was at the baby shower last weekend one of the hosts caught Blair's smile on camera. I was pretty happy because I have yet to get a big grin on camera! I've captured a side grin here and there but nothing like this...

this is what I usually get...

Oh Blair...I can't wait for you to be more consistent with your smiles! Among other things...consistency with nighttime sleep, daytime naps, etc. Yesterday was "one of those days." When will I learn that I can not stay at home all day and have a "good day?" I have to leave the house and run one errand or visit a friend every day for my sanity. Otherwise I start to go stir crazy and get bored/lonely/feel unproductive/ feel sorry for myself...need I go on? Being the mommy of an infant is SO hard! I just feel like every day is Groundhog's day where I wake up and everything repeats itself.

Today I am getting out and going on a walk with some mommy friends which should be good (morning AND evening!). I also plan on spending some time with my mom which always makes me happy. I'm thinking about nailing someone down once or twice a week so I can either get out and run errands or get some things done around the house. Maybe a certain mom or mother-in-law will be interested? Subtlety is not my strong suit...

Have a great Thursday!

  1. What a great pic! And I have the same romper for A, can't wait for her to get big enough to wear it :)

Also, just wanted to say the BFing has gotten so much better! And the shield (which my LC recommended too) really helps on the left side - our problem side. Thanks for all the tips/tricks!

  3. Be happy that you don't HAVE to go back to work, most women aren't do lucky to have wonderful hardworking husbands like we do.

  4. I love reading your blog every day! Blair is so cute. I love how honest you are in the posts. And I love that you are always so cute and get out and do things. It gives me hope that when I'm a mom one day, I won't chop my hair off, stay in my pjs all day, and talk baby talk. Love your blog!!
