Time to get excited fellow mommies! This is 100% the best giveaway I've ever hosted...Freshly Picked Moccasins! One lucky reader will win a pair of FP moccs in their choice of size and color.* If you haven't heard of this company (do you live under a rock?!) it is completely amazing. California Adventurers

Thursday, June 12, 2014

Is it possible to be more tired from a trip to Disneyland with my Mom than with Blair? It was my Mom's first time in California Adventure and we straight up dominated that park. We were there for the "rope dropping" aka at the butt crack of dawn with our Starbucks in hand. We hustled our way to Radiator Springs Racers (Cars Land) and ended up riding it 3 times that day. At most waiting 30 minutes thanks to our fast passes, early arrival, and single rider line.

I also suckered my Mom into riding California Screamin' and Tower of Terror. She silently closed her eyes on both of them and mumbled whenever I asked her if she was okay. Ha ha.

We seriously had an awesome day celebrating my belated birthday (by 6 weeks). Thanks Mom!

don't mind if we do

"rope dropping"...no idea this existed till today

downtown disney and then we saw The Fault in our Stars (sobfest!)

birthday chocolate ganache

right after the crowd sang happy belated birthday to me

And that's a wrap! Seriously such a fun time with Mama Bear. Also I think Disneyland is even more fun when you don't have to pay for it yourself. ;) Disneyland Pass next! Lala, you in?

PS You are NOT going to want to miss the AMAZING giveaway I'm hosting beginning Friday! I'll give you a hint. It starts with Freshly and ends with Picked. !!!!!!!

Beach Day

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Today my mom and I are at the Happiest Place on Earth (without Blair!). Shhh, don't tell her. ;) My mom has never been to California Adventure (gasp!) so we decided she should take me as an extension of my 30th birthday present. Don't you love how that works? It's like I'm 30 and my mom is still taking me to Disneyland...winning! And I can't even wait to ride Cars, California Screamin' and all the other rides we can't take B on. Don't get me wrong it's a blast to have her around but today is for the Big Girls.

Last weekend I mentioned that we were at the beach with M's fam. Blair usually makes a request to go to the pool but that wasn't an option. She's been kind of pooh-poohing the beach lately but she really had a good time on Sunday. We jumped over waves and ran away from them when they got her toes. We even had burgers in our bikinis. Although we weren't looking quite as good as the Carl's Jr. commercials.

the old switcheroo

thanks for letting me borrow your hat Linda! my scalp appreciates it. ;)

She doesn't know it but this was just practice for our vacation to OAHU in two weeks!!!! Eeek! So excited!

Father's Day Gift Ideas

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Father's Day is almost here! And thanks to the two manly men living in my house (yes I said two, no I'm not pregnant with a boy) I've got some great gift ideas!

But before gifts let's talk Sam, our new roomie. Sam is one of our good friends from church and he recently moved in with us because his roomie and bff got married (see yesterday's post). Being that we have two extra bedrooms here and he's a pretty rad guy we thought we'd give it a whirl. Let's see how long he lasts with Blair's incessant Frozen marathon...

San Clemente Wedding {Curtis and Kim}

Monday, June 9, 2014

Wedding season has begun! This weekend we were blessed to attend the wedding of our friends, Curtis and Kim. They are high school sweethearts and tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at San Clemente.

Their wedding was to. die. for. Like if I could do it all over again I would just copy what they did. They had a chic color scheme; black, white, and gold/silver. My friend Lynnea ( and her hubby, Joey) did the floral arrangements and they were seriously the prettiest flowers I have ever seen.

I think one of the reasons why I loved this wedding so much was because so many of our friends were there. This makes any party better, right?! Speaking of parties be sure to vote for Blair's most recent party at Project Nursery here!We made it into the top parties of the week!

the sweet happy couple! such a beautiful bride!

their cake was a brownie and frosting. no complaints here!
My photos don't even do their wedding justice. It's hard to capture all the fun, excitement, and joy through my iphone. ;) I'm looking forward to sharing more of our weekend with you tomorrow. Including details on Blair's overnight stay at the beach without us!

PS Remember my friend's gorgeous home? Turns out one of my good friends who owns Solorio Builders did the re-model and I kinda left him out on accident. No hard feelings, right Josh?
PPS We owe you at least $10 from that wedding. Thanks Dad!

Maternity Photo Shoot {Kendra}

Thursday, June 5, 2014

A couple days ago I mentioned that I was at a friend's baby shower. Daniel at Balboa Photography took Kendra's maternity shots and they turned out so beautifully! He had them on display as a slideshow on his laptop at the shower which I thought was so clever. I loved looking through them and seeing the happy Mama to be. She also happens to be super crafty. Check her out here!

And a very Happy Birthday to my sweet sis-in-law! I'm blessed to be able to call her family AND friend. And to think in two and a half short months Blair's first cousin will arrive! I'm excited to be an Auntie for the first time and return the love to her little man that she has so sweetly showered upon my Blair. No matter how tired (or pregnant) Tiff is she still plays with B at the drop of a hat. And boy can B spot her in a crowded room, "Tiffy?! Tiffy, PLAY!" It's the cutest thing.

love you Auntie Tiff! Photo c/o La Sol Photography
