I have an addiction

Confession: I am addicted to nail polish. And not the cheap stuff. O.P.I, Essie, China Glaze, and Zoya sell the best kind. They really fulfill my urge to splurge. Because of my addiction (combined with my uncontrollable type-A personality) I have organized them according to season/shade. I have  see- through nudes, barely- there pinks, sheer grays and flirty lilacs for spring!

my spring collection

You can catch me in the act at least once, usually twice, a week. I plop down in front of the TV to catch up on Gossip Girl, Vampire Diaries (my fave!), or 90210. I buff, add base coat, polish two or three coats, and then add top coat. BTW, this is the BEST top coat in the world.

I find myself allowing my nails to get a tad long for nude or light colors but I have to keep them short for dark or bright colors. I have a thing against long nails with obvious colors. Every addict has their preferences, right? If there were a “patch” for excessive nail polishing I would be the poster child for it. Are you addicted to nail polish too?

  1. Cute!!! I love those colors! My mom and I actually talked about this tonight. I told her that anything bright or dark needs to go on short nails or else it looks like 80's hooker. I love the sheer look but I never have time to paint my nails like I used to (so this allows me to last an extra day with out spazzing about a chip).
Following your blog! Come say hi @ ModernMomRedefined.blogspot.com =D

  2. You need to come shopping with me, I can hook you up. ;)

  3. PS. The verification word I just had to type was snotsen. Who comes up with these things?!?! LOL

  4. Carrie, that is why I was so giddy when we went to that store the other day with all the $4 polishes!
ps i come up with the verification words. jk ;)

  5. Sooo addicted as well...you need to go to the salon store with one of your friends who does hair, nails or skin...then you can get OPI for like $2 :-) PS, if you do any designs, text a pic to me because I am always looking for new ones!!

  6. I always have my toes painted and love the Seche Vite base and top coats. I love the look of fingers painted too, but it never seems to last long. Do you have a secret? What's your favorite nail polish remover? Do you have a favorite top coat? Enlighten me, nail pro ;)

  7. JoEllen- It sounds like you do everything that I do. Hmmm sometimes I find that buffing my nails first helps the polish stay. I don't have a special remover but I do try to avoid doing things that cause shipping. Scrapbooking and creating things at work with my hands are number one culprits but sometimes it's unaviodable!

I love reading what you have to say! Leave a comment...it makes my day!
