Bucket List Summer 2011

Wednesday, June 15, 2011

Hi Friends! Today I am linking up with Jillian from cornflake dreams. She has a fabulous blog and I will be working with her later this month to make my blog more pretty. :)

Nothing like waiting till the last minute...I started my bucket list last night because life has just been busy! I came up with a pretty ambitious list but it should be doable considering the fact that I'm a teacher and have all summer off. :)

I wanted to make a "top 11 for 2011" but I just couldn't narrow it down. So here's my top 13 for summer 2011 bucket list! ;)

1. Backpack Half Dome in Yosemite (am I crazy?!)

2. Paint our ugly mailbox a sharp black. Ew. It's horrible.

3. Try a new trend such as bright colored shorts, tying a scarf on my head, or knotting my shirt (like she did here).

4. Try to exercise twice (gasp!) a day

5. Tile our bathroom (either ourselves or pay someone). Linoleum be gone!

6. Take a day trip to the Santa Monica Pier. I've never been and that ferris wheel is calling my name!

7. Finish scrapbooking my wedding. This is embarrassing. It's been over four years...

8. Organize the books in our built-ins by color.

9. Paint our office desk white like this girl did.

10. Read at least five books this summer. That means finishing Lauren Conrad's Style  pronto!

11. Go to the local farmer's markets in town like I did here.

12. Throw a fabulous bridal shower for my brother's fiancee with DIY decor.

13. Eat at more local non-chain restaurants like this.

And that's a wrap! Hope you enjoyed my bucket list for the summer and are inspired to write one of your own. Tell me, what are some things you want to do? See you tomorrow where I will continue to fill you in on my recent SLO trip and I may possibly be guest posting here!

  13. LOVE your bucket list! You should definitely tile the floor yourself...it's not that hard and it's such a great accomplishment {and money saver} in the end. I also want to read more this summer!
