Nursery Rhyme

Thursday, February 16, 2012

Here is a little sneak peak at B's current nursery. I say current because escrow has been kind to us...but that's all I'm saying till we get those keys and it's official! It's possible that B never sets foot in here but we had no way of knowing what God had in store for us so we went full speed ahead (minus the paint)!

love this serena and lily pillow (discontinued) and our new curtains (that matt will have to take down if we move...oops)

her pink diaper accessory holder. complete with burt's bees baby products!

this frame used to be filled with beach pictures. i can't wait to put a large photo of B in the middle after she is born.

got the changing pad cover after this photo was taken. hair pretties will be relocated to B's own bathroom if we move.

paper mache B made by my friend carrie for my shower

B pillow from serena and lily, blanket from etsy, and mobile by me! still waiting on the bumper and crib skirt...

a picture of B's sister :) and a beautifully scented candle by lollia complete with a crystal!
Originally I wanted her walls to be a very very faint pink called "shell." However, the oatmeal color we have currently (and in our possible new home) is growing on me. It takes away some of the "sweetness" which can be overwhelming in a girls room. I'm still deciding if I will paint her new room or not. Thoughts?

I'm hesitant to include the following photos but excitement is getting the best of me. If we move, here is B's future nursery (but if not, I'm content with where we are!)...

love the chair rail and crown molding. but as convenient as a fan is...it's got to go. i hate how it looks. plus we already ordered this chandelier!

her closet is on the left when you walk into the bathroom. it's a jack and jill bath so she will eventually share it with baby # 2!
The count down is on! She is going to be here before I know it and I just can't wait! So much is happening in our lives right now with a baby on the way and a potential move across town but I know God is in control. And I totally trust Him with His timing. He has blessed us beyond our wildest dreams and I hope that I am able to humbly glorify Him every day. I have learned a lot during this "house-hunting" journey but ultimately learned it is His timing, not mine. His plan, and not my own. I know that He will take care of all the upcoming details (finding the perfect renters for our current home, gathering friends/family to help us move etc.) so I refuse to lie awake at night worrying and it feels so good to have peace. He is good!

  1. Oh her nursery is adorable! I love the neutral wall color actually...it helps to set off the pink. And I am SOO excited about your new place...fingers crossed!

  7. Everything composed made a ton of sense. However, what about this?

suppose you added a little information? I mean, I don't wish to tell you how to run your website, but what if you added a post title to possibly grab a person's attention?

I mean "Nursery Rhyme" is a little boring.

You ought to peek at Yahoo's home page and watch how they create article titles to grab viewers interested. You might add a video or a related picture or two to get people interested about everything've got to say.
In my opinion, it would bring your website a little livelier.
