This last weekend we finally had a big enough chunk of time to complete painting the buffet. I am giddy with the results and M liked it enough to agree to starting the kitchen. Insert a wide eyed look of crazy here.
If you have been in or seen our kitchen you know why... there are exactly 35 cupboards and 25 drawers that will need painting. That's 60 total! Yes, we are all sorts of crazy but now is the best time to do it because a) we only have one kid b) I'm not prego and the can help with the painting and c) it's not over 100 degrees in the garage. The starts have aligned and it's cabinet painting time! ;)

As always I think it looks better in person. It breaks up all the tan of the walls and floor. My next task is to remove that wall paper and paint some wide neutral stripes and then spray paint that mirror a muted gold...so glam! Here is what I'm thinking for those stripes...

What do you think? Also, should I use the same neutral as what is already on the wall or do a different shade? I need some expert advice for that one. M says different but I'm not sure. Maybe a taupe-ish shade and creamy white? Well it's back to painting for me! Happy Tuesday!

     Have you recovered from your Valentine's Day sugar high yet? Luckily we have (just barely) and are excited to share about our festivities! Along with Valentine's for our littles we also did a Mama Swap and gifted one Mama a little something. I got the cutest little heart shaped plate with Reeses and lip balm along with this amazing garland...swoon! Thanks Erinn!!!

 I was beyond excited to receive some hand-made garland. AND Erinn even made the center heart a bright red for easy hanging. I'm telling you...this girl's got her ish together!

Along with all of these lovely Valentine's, M's parents made us a lovely pre Valentine's Day dinner complete with a lovely table display and cake by your truly!

And the day wouldn't be complete if B wasn't spoiled. So along with a couple things that I got her, Lala pulled quite a few tricks out of her bag (literally!)

Let's just say that bag-o-fun provided an afternoon of entertainment (and is still going strong). Who knew a couple of sippy cups would be such a hit?

M and I enjoyed some peace and quiet quality time on a date Friday night to a local Thai food restaurant. It felt like we were in college all over again...laughing over the silliest things and being completely goofy. Definitely need to do that more often! I have the dorky selfies to prove it...

Happy Valentine's Day, friends! B has received some adorable Valentine's from some of her blogging friends this week that she gets to open today. I can't wait to share them all with you on Monday! For now I thought it would be fun to take a peak at where we were last year.

Oh my! She's just too cute and chubby! I've said it before and I'll say it again...if our next kiddo is a girl I'm not gonna be sad! :) And look at what a difference a year makes!

If you know toddlers you know how difficult it is to get a non-blury picture of them! The above skirt was from last year and it still fits! Valentine's Day win. :) I'm just loving watching this girl grow up and I'm seriously itching for another. Baby fever times a million over here! And that my friends is what Valentine's Day is for. ;)

I love days when we have nowhere to be in the morning. Yesterday was one of those days and B and I celebrated with some festive pancakes outside on our patio. They were healthy AND delicious! Buckwheat pancake mix with egg, honey and a smidge of oil along with some organic syrup and organic strawberries. I'm on a whole foods health kick lately and I'll have to share details with you soon. Let's just say I watched Food Inc. and got real scared...

Mama was lovin' some daddy time too! A week is a long time to be away from the hubs and we're SO glad he's home. Plus my honey-do list was getting really long. ;)

Copying is the best form of flattery, right? I've said this a million times...I'm really good at copying ideas, and not so good at coming up with my own. Hence this Valentine's Day treat tutorial. The O.G. was Cassie over at Hi, Sugarplum. :) Thanks for the inspiration! We made these treats for Blair's teachers at her Bible study class since she's not in pre-school yet. We also had enough left over for Dada and B herself. :)
