Nothing to wear...

It's finally here! You know what I'm talking about... Memorial day weekend! Yippee! Matt and I will be driving up to San Luis Obispo to meet up with our college roomies who also happen to be our best friends. This weekend has never let me down and is filled with things like tasty BBQ's, beautiful hikes, shopping till we drop, bronzing, oh! and having a cold one. :)
This year we are renting a house in SLO which will be fabulous because then we get to spread out and save a few dollars by eating at home. Have you ever rented a house before? We have and we love it! There is one teeny tiny bummer about this weekend though: the weather. On Saturday we are going to Avila Beach and the weather forcast is 61 degrees. Hardly tank top and jean shorts weather. :( I'm being optimistic though and bringing those items juuuuust in case. :) Here is what I would wear if the sun decided to come out and i had an endless budget...

along with this outfit i would like to have her body too.

 flowy tops and jean shorts...love!

 simple and chic
not sure if i could pull off the hat but she does

maybe a wee bit too fancy but i love her crossbody

oh, emily, you never fail me

aren't the scallops on her blazer precious?

she got this dress at urban outfitters. i was thisclose to buying it myself.

so bohemian! or as matt would say, native american ;)

 flirty yellow? yes please!

i'm definitely bringing boyfriend jeans and a bright scarf. just in case!
romper, sweater, wedges = my 3 loves!

What are your plans for the weekend? I can't wait to come back and show you some pictures. Have a fabulous weekend! See you Tuesday!

Night on the town

Last Sunday on a whim I told my mom we should go see the Broadway show, Burn the Floor. We went out to dinner at Tios Tacos where we enjoyed tasty Mexican food before the show. The restaurant was featured in Sunset magazine so I was looking forward to going there since I love everything sunset. I ordered the chicken tacos and Matt got the fajitas. Besides the oddly colored beans it was delicious! Here are a few pictures of this unique restaurant along with my attire.

i told you the restaurant was unique!
i don't think i will be growing any human topiary any time soon!

By the way, if you have a chance to see this show it is a MUST! I was amazed at the dancer’s skills and have decided a dancer’s body is the best kind.

Here, kitty kitty!

For some reason Matt and I have a ton of movie passes that we haven’t used so lately we have been biking to the plaza and treating ourselves to a movie once a week. I was so amped last Saturday because I had tricked him into seeing bridesmaids but when we got there it was sold out. He was thrilled to have his way and we ended up seeing Pirates of the Caribbean 4 (I liked it!). Next time he won’t be so lucky…

Those pasty legs will soon be gone with the spray tan I plan on getting Friday!
