Yesterday was a pretty yucky day at the Bushman household. M stayed home sick and slept the entire day and B wasn't feeling too hot either (this may explain yesterday's melt down during the Christmas card pictures). I'm not sure what was up with B but she had a clogged nose and a fever :(. Some of my friends thought these symptoms were teething related since she was still eating, sleeping, and playing. Either way I felt bad for my sweet girl. At one point while running errands she said "mmmaaaammmaaa" in her car seat. Oh man, did my heart melt! I parked the car and crawled into the backseat and nuzzled my sweet babe.
Aside from being sick, M was quite the crafter for me this week. I told him that I wanted two wreaths for our front door but was bummed to find most wreathed are $100 a pop! He took initiative and created two beautiful wreaths for about $15 each! Behold...
M also had the great idea to extend our Christmas card holder since we never have enough room for all our cards. What can I say? We have lots of friends! ;) I wanted to buy a new one (that's my solution to everything) but Matt's burlap ribbon idea was much cheaper.
Lastly, I added a little flair to our dining room.
I'll post on our mantel and trees later (meaning they aren't ready yet). Ahhhh I just love Christmas time!
This weekend we are attending a friends first birthday and Matt's work party. Also I'm hosting a small food party...all the same day! Matt's party is super fancy so I need to bust out some old prom dress. No joke. Can't wait to share it all with you! Have a great weekend.
