It's that time of year again! Time for the famous peanut butter balls that my mama has so perfectly crafted. Yesterday we spent the day (literally) making the pb balls. I say "the day" because B made it difficult to get much done. She decided she wasn't into napping (or nursing. Yes I'm freaking out. More on that later) which made my job as assistant very difficult. Basically my mom had to pony up and make both of our batches. Thanks mom! Here are the details ...
Powdered sugar, pb, butter, wax, and chocolate
Stir butter, pb, and add sugar till consistency is good for rolling balls
Not one ball is exactly like another!
Boil water in a pot below the chocolate and wax that melts together
Bella eagerly awaits a fallen ball. I swear this year I will not be stupid and leave these in her reach...
Use tooth picks to dip balls. Let dry on wax paper. Seal in airtight container.
Last step is to pass out to lucky friends and family!
Ingredients:
21/2-3 pounds powdered sugar
4 cups pb
1 pound butter
1 pound Hershey's chocolate
Paraffin wax mixed to appropriate consistency
Oh, and a cute baby helps too...
Rikki and B having a cuddle sesh!

ReplyDeleteI throw the wax in my food processor, it melts instantly in the tiny chunks.
Jealous, Jealous, Jealous!!!! Those are so yummy. Wish I lived closer so I could be one of the lucky friends to receive those. Miss you
