Matt made the mistake of suggesting that we take an early anniversary trip this year. Now it's all I can think about! Our anniversary is March 31 and we will be married 5 years by then! Baby is due a week after that on April 6th. So, this calls for an early celebration! Since 5 years is kind of a big deal he suggested that we go somewhere like Maui or Costa Rica. This made my heart swell with joy! We are currently looking for deals online with travelzoo etc. I would LOVE to go to Italy but Matt says it's too far given my current pregnant state. So, tropical it is! For some the thought of wearing a bikini at 6/7 months pregnant is frightening. But I decided I'm going to own it. I mean at least I have an excuse, right? No one is going to say, "Ew look at how horrible she looks in her bikini!" I'm pregnant! Come day dream with me...
Thoughts? I have been to Maui several times (but never with Matt) and would love to try something new but there is so much fun adventurous Costa Rica stuff to do that I think maybe I should wait till after baby? Have you been there? What do you think?
I have been to Maui twice and love it, but I liked Kauai even better. I've never been to Costa Rica, but have always wanted to go. I'm sure you guys will have a great trip whatever you decide on!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to either...but I love the Caribbean. We got married in the Dominican and honeymooned in the Grand Cayman. I LOVED the Grand Cayman. It was gorgeous, safe, & had some great places to eat. You would love the beach there. It's also closer than Hawaii which is nice. We're going to Curacao in January and it looks great too!

ReplyDeleteHi there! I'm a new follower of your blog. My mom is going to Costa Rica this Thursday for 10 days & she will be doing the exact activities you have pictured above. It's a hard choice between Maui & Costa Rica, I would have a hard time choosing as well.

ReplyDeleteMy cousin Corinne's husband is from Costa Rica, they go every year. From the pictures she shows it's gorgeous. She says she can get the entire trip for very cheap so let me know if you want her info!
