Halloween is just around the corner...are you ready? Since we call Blair "little B" she is going to be exactly that...a little bee. :) That means I'm going to be a ladybug and Matt's going to be a "bug catcher/net." I actually made a black and yellow tutu for B and attached some pipe cleaners to a headband for "feelers." I purchased a plain black leotard and leggings and voila. She's buggy.
My wings are the same as hers except for a lady bug. I plan on making a similar headband and just wearing black pants and a red shirt. Easy. And a lot more classy than my college costumes... it happens. ;) And until Halloween comes B will be rockin' her jack-o-lantern jammies. :)

Happy Thursday!
Cute! We were going to do DIY and we were going to dress A as a bunny since thats what we call her, but we couldn't resist the Lion costume (actually her Mimi insisted) since she roars so hysterically :)
ReplyDeletewe thought about doing an elephant since she's pretty good at that sound. she would also be an awesome bear/lion since she roars so well too! we're having a heck of a time getting her to bzzzzz... we're working on trick or treat instead ;)
DeleteSo cute and I love that even your husband is getting involved.
ReplyDeletepoor guy has no choice ;)
DeleteCute! It's great that you were able to figure something out to put together yourself! We bought and astronaut costume for O.

DeleteWhere did you get the black leotard? I have been looking everywhere for one!
ReplyDeletei got it at a local dance store called Capezio. not sure if that helps?!
DeleteWhat a cute costume!! Funny how our college costumes change once we reach parenthood! (I am yet to be there so I still have an excuse right?) :)
ReplyDeletehaha work it while you can! ;)
Deleteso cute! I love the idea and even better that you can DIY it!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I was wanting to do a d.i.y costume this year for my little girl, but shes obsessed with Minnie Mouse, so that just seemed a little more fitting. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the idea for the headband. I have two costumes this year. We need to come up with a family theme. I tried!
